PREFACE
I must say first that if the photograph is not very good and just the first one I look at doesn’t convey anything, I don’t even look at the entire submitted project.
When Patrizia Piga submitted this project realized together with her business partner Catalano I was captured since the first instant. I was struck by the feelings arising in me while looking at their photographs.
Inside me I said: “These are not simple photographs on still life, they are not simple decorative compositions, they seem to live.”
I can say that in the project “Mystic Light” Piga and Catalano have been able to completely seize the forms of the objects, the colour tones, the structures and the lines, the harmony of the light.
Yes, the light, the function of this mystic light that now accentuates particulars, now brings out the softness and sinuosity of the forms, now pronounces levels. All their accurately prepared compositions are like an orchestra that harmonizes and gives meaning and balance.
These are the instruments, strictly photographic, of our orchestra, yes because a photography is not a simple click but is an orchestration of colours, lights, forms and fragrance that you need to wisely manage and develop in order to make live the moment of the shutter click.
Every photographs can carry the mind away to different periods, recalling the past years, almost imaginary, mystic, the fragrance, the environmental backgrounds, not only, also the perception of the reality as if they aren’t photographs. Yes! That mystic that touches the skin and the mind giving pleasant sensations.
